Abstract
A method and apparatus for monitoring the Frequency Spectra of the Bragg Gratings & operating of Serial Port Electronic Security Lock is designed for the purpose of Personal Identification. An encoded card having multiple Fiber Bragg Gratings are used to reflect a frequency spectrum. A program code is written in LabView to read the exact values of the Central Wavelengths of multiple reflected spectrums and to authenticate these values with already stored dedicated data in the memory for Personal identification to determine if electrical signal is generated for operating the serial port operated Electronic Lock or not All the experimental setup is programmed in LabView to have a Graphical User Interface to make it more convenient to use.
