Abstract
Pakistan has a population of over 160 million people out which nearly 30% people comprise of young boys and girls who need to select various academic majors after completion of their high school studies. Development of technologies, businesses and other fields leads to in difficulty in decision making for career selection for these youngsters. Present research is focused on evaluating the performance of undergraduate students in various subjects based on their majors selection at high school level in the past. Data was collected from over a 100 students who selected Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer as their high school majors and were doing Management Studies at undergraduate level. It was observed that student's who took Mathematics and Statistics at high school got outstanding grades in Management Science, whereas student's with Chemistry, Physics and Biology at high school had average and below average,grades in Management Sciences. Findings of this research could provide useful information about possibilities of performing better or worse at graduate level on the basis of subject selection at high school level.
