Abstract
This paper presents the findings of a study, which investigated the predictors of employees' perception on performance appraisal. A total of 250 managerial staff in Malaysian commercial banks was selected as a sample based on stratified random sampling. The study used self-administered questionnaire as the research instrument. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results found that organizational commitment, job satisfaction and demographic factors were related to employees' perception on performance appraisal. The study also revealed that organizational commitment, job satisfaction and demographic factors served as predictors of employees' perception on performance appraisal. Based on the implication of the research findings, several suggestions are put forward.
