Abstract
Mobile agent systems are still not fully utilized because many security problems need to be solved. Agent virtual machine (AVM) is a new mechanism that protects service providers (hosts) against malicious mobile agent. It prevents the mobile agent from executing any type of attacks. AVM is an interpreter that deals with the mobile agent as byte code. AVM mechanism has been implemented in Secure Mobile Agent Generator (SMAG) system. SMAG is a new mobile agent system. The system greatly reduces the security threats of the mobile agents. It also incorporates a ''mobile agent generator" that accepts general functional specification for an agent. SMAG system has been implemented by using C# language and .NET framework. To illustrate SMAG system, a Bookshop system has been designed and implemented by using the system infrastructure
