Abstract
To provide End-to-End Quality of Service (QoS) for mobile environment, it is necessary to manage QoS within each domain including micro-mobility QoS Despite the improvements that HMIPv6 adds to MIPv6, its real performance level is still not optimal. The weak point of the HMIPv6 is the absence of QoS mechanisms. In this paper, we present a solution to manage QoS in IP-based micromobility domains. The study of different IP QoS architectures enables us to propose a solution based on the integration of HMIPv6 and DiffServ. The QoS management is coupled with the mobility management at IP level. Our goal is to get a better performance in handover transition and enhance the present HMIPv6 performance.
