Abstract
Quasifree single-pion photoproduction on the deuteron via the exclusive reaction d(gamma, pi(0)np is studied in the Delta(1232)-resonance region including all leading pi NN effects. Special emphasizes are given to single spin observables. The elementary pion photoproduction amplitude from free nucleons is taken from the dynamical model of Sato and Lee (SL model) [Phys. Rev. C54 (1996) 2660]. The interactions in the final two-body subsystems are taken in separable form. Final-state interaction effects are found to be significant and lead to an improved agreement with the most recent experimental data from Brookhaven National Laboratory (LEGS-exp.L3b).
