Abstract
A conceptual model has been presented where the author has integrated and extended insights from relational exchange theory (RET) and commitment-trust theory (CTT) to discuss the efficacy of relational governance to affect relational outcomes like satisfaction, interorganizational trust and inter-organizational commitment. It is postulated that higher degrees of perceived relationality positively affects inter-organizational commitment that eventually translates into superior focal firm performance. This positive association is mediated by high relationship quality (manifested through satisfaction, and inter-organizational trust).
