Abstract
Conference Title: 2017 4th International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (ICAEE ) Conference Start Date: 2017, Sept. 28 Conference End Date: 2017, Sept. 30 Conference Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh Compact microstrip-fed slot antenna's one design and analysis is represented in this paper. The proposed antenna has an easy structure containing a rectangular patch with a half circle cut out and a partial ground plane. The general dimension of the antenna is 22 mm × 20 mm × 1.5 mm and fed by 50Ω microstrip transmission line. On low-cost FR-4 substrate with 4.4 of Dielectric constant and 1.5 mm of thickness, proposed antenna is designed. The structures of this antenna were simulated by using the HFSS and CST microwave simulation software. The simulation result shows that the antennas impedance bandwidth reaches about 72.24% (4.25GHz-7.32GHz), where the return loss <10 dB over the preferred frequency range. Gain of 5.07 dBi is achieved for the proposed antenna. Its radiation patterns are also analyzed.
