Abstract
A S band LNA for the future Satellite Navigation System has been proposed in this paper. Today's high demand for satellite navigation has caught attention of every country for development of own navigation system to meet the advancements in the world. The already allocated L-band spectrum for GNSS is congested and is not sufficient to provide the future planned services. Hence, the frequency spectrum 2483.5 2500 MHz has already been allocated for satellite navigation in future. The proposed LNA is designed by using AVAGO Technology's ATF-34143 exhibiting rapid switching capability. Advanced Design System (ADS) software is used for the schematic design, electromagnetic co-simulations and layout generation. The optimized design provides extremely low Noise Figure of 0.43 dB having good Gain of 11.79 dB with low DC power consumption of 78 mW which makes it very good choice for future S band satellite navigation receiver systems and wireless communication applications.
