Abstract
Recently, many accidents have occurred in the world. Yet fires are the most frequently happening mishaps either due to natural disasters or to humans. Different extinguishing methods and techniques are required according to the fire type, meteorological conditions, and the degree of damage. A home fire is a disaster that is highly expected and that anyone might experience. Thus, we need to increase the fire prevention awareness among kids and adults to protect them from these tragedies in different situations.
Stay Alive, is a virtual reality (VR) simulator for home fires. It focuses on showing different types of fire with multiple scenes and scenarios for fire quenching using objects and tools available around the house. It also shows the consequences for any actions the users might make upon using objects around them. Stay alive allows the users to live a full experience, therefore increases the knowledge about fires, not just by reading or watching.
Stay Alive is a game on oculus VR works on android mobile phones which are compatible with various VR glasses and controllers. It contains two scenarios about home fires with multiple sources of fire and different objects to extinguish it. It also supports critical thinking because the winning score, at the end of the game, is based on a timer, and players will be able to view their ranking between other players' scores.
The overall results of the various types of testing indicate that the Stay Alive game is well functioning, with well-handled exceptions that may occur.
