Abstract
The move to on-line and computer based test is a natural outcome of the increasing use of information and communication technologies to enhance learning. As more students seek flexibility in their courses, it seems inevitable there will be growing expectations for flexible assessment as well. Computer based test (CBT) can be defined as a method of using computers and Internet to deliver tests or exams to remote students. Students' opinion toward computer based test is very important factor in the development of this type of assessment. The main purpose of this research is to analyse the students' feedback towards the worth and value of implementing computer based test. Subjects were students of Computer Science and Physics departments at College of Science, Dawadmy, Shaqra University, K. S. A. The study used a questionnaire to investigate students' opinions towards computer based test. Overall, the results indicated that the students were generally satisfied with their experience of (CBT) provided by the author. Findings indicate that there are no statistically significant differences between Computer Science and Physics students on all items of the survey. The study may be useful for students, faculty members and administrators of higher education institutions. They may assist policymakers in making reasonable judgment with regard to the quality of this new method of evaluation.
