Abstract
The vibration control of a flexible beam using Self-tuned adaptive algorithm is studied and discussed in this paper. For simulation purposes, an exact solution of the plant is used as reference, where the actual plant model is identified using neural network back propagation algorithm. A Two-layer back propagation algorithm with variable number of neurons in hidden layers is formulated and compared. In this scheme an implicit network for adaptive identification and control is used. This model can be used for the real time identification of the beam structure model in which beam characteristics may contain an uncertain element or measurement may be effected by noise. Our Simulation show that a neural network can effectively used for identification and control purposes with flexible beam structure.
