Abstract
This paper proposes a new communication protocol based on signaling mechanisms on mesh architecture for a network on chip in order to improve mapping between QoS requirements for a communication processes and available hardware resources in NoC routers. This approach consists on brodcasting the instantaneous informations between routers related to same metrics to abstract physical system capacities. Theses informations will be useful at the routing action to avoid a static routing and congestion during the establishment of a virtual communication path.
To validate this new approach and to integrate protocolar architecture, we have chosed a high level description langage allowing the synthesis of a typical architecture for a NOC router with quality of service management.
