Abstract
The natural environment is essential to human life since it impacts people's health and quality of life. Plants are part of this environment, and they must be preserved and protected by irrigating them as needed. Technological solutions need to be employed, and smart irrigation systems via the Internet of Things (IoT) can contribute to providing a healthier life in innovative and intelligent ways. Thus, this research aims at automating irrigation for plants to create a healthy environment for citizens. This is done by using the smart grid irrigation systems concept, which helps farmers plant as much of the farmland as possible with less effort to obtain many of the diverse crops that people need like food or to increase the aesthetic appeal of an area. We have utilized IoT technologies, so we have designed and integrated an inexpensive smart grid irrigation system using the Arduino control panel for a better quality of life.
