Abstract
Stroke is one of the most important causes of death in Poland. Knowledge of stroke causes, risk factors and warning symptoms is necessary to decrease stroke morbidity, disability, and premature mortality.
The aim of the thesis is stroke knowledge analyses among population in south-cast part of Poland. Survey was done in questionnaire form.
A randomized study was udertaken involving 502 people living in Podkarpacie county, Poland. Among 502 respondents there were 66% of women and 34% of men (mean age, 37).
