Abstract
We present a compact three-dimensional (3D) plasmonic Bragg reflector based on the metal-insulator-metal geometry. The Bragg reflector structure enables subwavelength confinement. We show that the width modulation in a plasmon slot waveguide can lead to wide photonic band-gaps with high reflectance efficiency. Simulation results demonstrate that negligible transmission can be achieved at the desired frequency of the Bragg reflector.
