Abstract

Due to the confidential nature of this area, not much literature is published. Airborne radar systems engineering is partially performed using the approaches followed for ground based radar on which a reasonable literature is published. However, there are certain functional areas in which system engineering approach specific to airborne radar system is required. In this paper a focus is made toward the requirement of systems engineering approach for airborne radar and discusses available literature to assist the systems engineers working on airborne radars.
