Abstract
The present study aims at examine the effect of social networks (WhatsApp model) on human relationships (social, family, marital, self) in a sample of married Saudis, and The importance of this study in an attempt to enrich the studies and research conducted in the field of social networks, which are a few to some extent - especially in Arab societies -and because of the newness of this network, The present study aims to identify the percentage and frequencies and the patterns and habits of married couples and the subsequent WhatsApp in addition to the knowledge of the differences of statistical significance in human relationships for married couples, according to the variables of gender and the number of hours in use and in light of the interaction between them The present study was based to comparative descriptive method, due to the adoption of a researcher in the provision of independent variables and processed on the description, and not the amendment and change intentional, as the independent variables here are the gender and the number of hours of use WhatsApp and know the role this on the human relationships (social relationships, family relationships, marital relationships, self) as the dependent variable. The current study was conducted on a sample of (436) individuals, (309 male 127 female) married Saudis, were applied them, They were conducted scale of orientation of community relations, human relations to default (WhatsApp as a case) by the researcher programmer computerized cross-linker-mail account after psychometric properties in terms of validity and reliability him, and the study concluded the following results:
The largest percentage of the sample was the number of years they have use of one to three years, and then came more than three years in second place of the sample, while less than a year came in ranked last in the sample of the number of years of use.
The largest percentage of respondents were those who used WhatsApp daily from one to three hours, and then came the number to use for less than an hour in the second place of the sample, while came more than three hours to use WhatsApp of the sample in the last rank of the sample in the number of hours of daily use.
The largest proportion of respondents were those who had more than 20 friends, then came from 10 to 20 friends on WhatsApp in second place of the sample, while came from has less than 10 friends on WhatsApp ranked last of the sample in the number of friends on the WhatsApp.
The largest percentage of the sample was anyone who has a 5 to 10 sets on WhatsApp, then came from has less than 5 sets on WhatsApp in second place of the sample, while came from has more than 10 sets on WhatsApp ranked last of the sample in the number of groups on WhatsApp.
There is a show in the relative weight of items every dimension of human relationships (social relationships, family relationships, marital relationships, self) in the affected by WhatsApp.
