Abstract
Motivated by the measurements from NIKHEF, JLab and MIT-Bates with polarized beams and polarized targets, we study tensor and vector analyzing powers in the elastic e-d scattering process. Dependence of the obtained results on the realistic NN potential model adopted for the deuteron wave function is investigated. We found that the predicted analyzing powers agree with one another and with the experimental data up to Q(2) similar or equal to 0 : 5 (GeV/c)(2). At higher-Q(2) region, we found that the results are slightly diverged. The vector analyzing power T-10 is found to be much smaller than T-11. Therefore, in addition to the tensor analyzing power T-20, the vector analyzing power T-11 can be used as an another tool for extracting the deuteron electromagnetic form factors.
