Abstract
Currently, it becomes difficult to manage huge volumes of data. Hence, the data/document warehouse building approaches must be revised. In this context, Not-Only SQL (NoSQL) environments can provide scalability while maintaining flexibility for an OLAP system. In this paper, we propose a set of rules to transform the multidimensional galaxy model of a Document Warehouse (DocW) into a document-oriented NoSQL model. We define two types of transformations: Simple and Hierarchical. To test our proposed transformation rules, we use the document-oriented NoSQL system MangoDB along with the Talend Data Integration tool. We have conducted the evaluation on the medical collection Clef 2007 by comparing the values of the two metrics Write Request Latency (WRL) and Read Request Latency (RRL).
