Abstract
Conference Title: 2017 First International Conference on Latest trends in Electrical Engineering and Computing Technologies (INTELLECT) Conference Start Date: 2017, Nov. 15 Conference End Date: 2017, Nov. 16 Conference Location: Karachi, Pakistan This paper presents the design of a novel algorithm for two-dimensional signals named two-dimensional optimum error nonlinearity (2D-OENL). The proposed algorithm is an extension of optimum error nonlinearity (OENL) for one-dimensional signals. The proposed algorithm is implemented for image (a two-dimensional signal) denoising. The outcomes of the proposed algorithm is than compared with the outcomes of two-dimensional least mean square algorithm (2D-LMS). Simulation results shows that the proposed algorithm outperform the conventional 2D-LMS by providing more noise free results.
