Abstract
The theory of experiential learning was used in a MBA course to find opportunities for innovation in Saudi Arabian industries. The operationalization of these pedagogies helped in bridging the gap between theory and practice. The set used state of the art simulation software to simulate the suggested improvements in the optimization, design and location of the storage area in a warehouse in a waterproofing company. Findings from this research project suggest that the application of lean manufacturing principles of maximizing customer value while minimizing waste is important for the company. Additionally, the application of lean principles assisted in addressing key performance objectives such as storage reduction time, minimization of cost, increase of profit, and creation of more value for customers using fewer resources.
