Text classifiers are usually applied to information retrieval strategies. Their power can also be used for other computer assisted reading and analysis of text (CARAT) such as lexical analysis, automatic generation of hypertext links, thematic analysis knowledge extraction, and many other types of content analysis. Illustration of three types of mathematical classifiers is presented on a philosophical text.
