Abstract
A annular feed shaped strip line is used to feed a Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) here which generates wide bandwidth with high isolation. This DRA generates bandwidth of 3.9GHz which is 15% of the impedance bandwidth. The generated bandwidth is centered at 26GHz as the center frequency This antenna can be used for millimeter wave 5G applications in the frequency band of 5G. The generated bandwidth completely covers the total 5G spectrum of band30. The mode excited here is TE 1y1. A gain of 6.2dBi with radiation efficiency of 97 percent has been achieved here. The features of wide bandwidth, high isolation, makes this antenna more suitable candidate for 5G applications in band 30.
