Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship of work related stress, incompatible personality traits and anxiety towards burnout in the police employees of Pakistan. The participants were police employees working in different areas of Pakistan The findings indicate that most of the police workers have signs of burnout and emotional exhaustion. The major factors that contribute toward burnout are work overload, work pressures, frustrations, worries and some uncertain fears, whereas personality mismatch with profession has also a mild effect on the burnout.
