Abstract
Describes the production of membranes from a compatibilized blend of poly(ether sulfonamide) and poly(ether imide) with a little 1,3-diamino-2-propanol. Such membranes have properties that are more hydrophilic than those made from the simple polymers and have a higher permeability and lower molecular weight cut off. Variation in the amounts of the two main constituents can be used to control the membrane morphology.
