Abstract

The title compound, 1-{[(3,4-dimethylisoxazol-5-yl) imino]methyl}-2-naphthol has been synthesized by condensation of 5-amino-3,4-dimethylisoxazole and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaledhyde in ethanol. The structure of this new compound was confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, H-1-NMR, C-13-NMR and EI-MS spectral analysis.
