Abstract
In the title compound, C13H12N4O6, the mean plane through the nitrobenzene forms a dihedral angle of 37.38 (15)degrees with the plane through the imidazole ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot N interactions together with pi-pi stacking interactions between nitrobenzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.788 (3) angstrom] and between imidazole rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.590 (2) angstrom].
