In the title compound, C15H15NO4, the n-methylpiperidone ring adopts a chair conformation and both five-membered rings adopt a twist conformation. An intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond is observed. Inversion-related molecules are linked into R-2(2)(10) dimers by pairs of O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
