In the title compound, [Zn(C20H14N2O2)(C5H5N)], the Zn-II atom is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H . . . O interactions interconnect the molecules into wave-like chains along the c axis. In addition, the crystal packing is further stabilized by weak C-H . . . pi interactions.
