Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title molecular salt, C10H16N+center dot ClO4- , contains two cations and two anions. The atoms of one of the ethyl side chains of one of the cations are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.531 (13): 0.469 (13) ratio. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H center dot center dot center dot O and bifurcated N-H center dot center dot center dot(O, O) hydrogen bonds and weaker C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions, such that the organic cations alternate with the perchlorate anions, forming ribbons in the a-axis direction.
