Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C7H6BrNO2, consists of two molecules having a small variation of bond lengths and angles. The title compound forms dimers through pairs of O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds involving the carboxylate groups. The dimers are linked into polymeric forms through intermolecular hydrogen bonds, forming R-2(1)(6), R-3(2)(8) and R-3(3)(15) ring motifs.
