In the title compound, C7H8N2O2, the mean planes of the benzene ring and the planar hydrazide group are inclined at 25.75 (6)degrees with respect to each other. The structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds.
