Abstract
In the structure of the title compound, C(7)H(7)IN(2)O, the hydrazide group is inclined at 13.3 (3)degrees with respect to the benzene ring. The structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot N and N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds involving the hydrazide group, resulting in six- and ten-membered rings with R(2)(2)(6) and R(2)(2)(10) graph-set notations, respectively.
