In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(9)H(8)BrNO(3)S, the thiazine ring is in the twisted form. In the crystal, pairs of intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds form inversion dimers with an R(2)(2)(8) ring motif. Weak intermolecular C H center dot center dot center dot Br and C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions are also present.
