Abstract
Electrocatalytic nitrate (NO
) reduction not only generates high-value ammonia (NH
) but holds significant potential in the control of NO
contaminants in natural environments. Here, a bimetallic FeCo
O
spinel nanowire array grown on carbon cloth is proposed as an efficient electrocatalyst for the conversion of NO
to NH
with a high faradaic efficiency of up to 95.9% and a large NH
yield of 4988 μg h
cm
. Furthermore, it also exhibits excellent stability during 16 h electrolysis.
