Abstract
A new thiazole functionalized fluorogenic ionophore M1 was synthesized and characterized with NMR and IR spectroscopy. Fluorescence responses toward various metal ions were explored on photo-fluorescence spectroscopy. The sensor M1 exhibited high selective and sensitive electrochemical and fluorescence response to Ni2+ in the existence of various competing metal ions with high value of association constant 1.07 x 104 M-1. These spectral changes are enough for naked-eye detection. The results revealed that the sensor provides reversible fluorescence strategy with EDTA.
