A new three parameter life model called the Topp-Leone Erlang-truncated exponential distribution (TLETEx) distribution is proposed. Various properties of the new model including moments, generating function and mean deviation of the new distribution are derived. The maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the model parameters. The usefulness of the new distribution is illustrated in real data set.
