Abstract

Chemistry Chemistry, Inorganic & Nuclear Chemistry, Organic Physical Sciences Science & Technology
The complex pd(TPPTS)(3) reacts in water at room temperature with butenols (ionization) or butadiene (protonation) to produce two isomeric hydrosoluble eta(3)-allylic palladium complexes ([Pd(syn-C-4)(TPPTS)(2)](+) and [Pd(anti-C-4)-(TPPTS)(2)](+)) and three isomers of butenylphosphonium salts of TPPTS. The pH has a great influence on the reaction rates and on the stability of the products.
