Abstract
Extracts of the aerial parts of XANTHIUM STRUMARIUM and fruit of X. PUNGENS afforded a new Xanthanolide diol derivative, 11α,13-dihydroxyxanthatin and a new dimeric xanthanolide sesquiterpene lactone, pungiolide C, in addition to some known compounds.
