Abstract
The study proposes a facile and novel encapsulated nanofabrication of desert locust, Schistocerca gregaria with a natural polymer. The synthesized nanoparticles showed a mean average size of 122.5 nm with a single significant peak at 121 nm and polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.309. The micrographs showed rod or whisker geometry and uniform distribution of the nanoparticles. The encapsulated nanoparticles also exhibited potent antioxidant and anti-diabetic activity, thus suggesting their potential therapeutic benefits and use in human nutrition.
