A major step in the numerical solution of electromagnetic scattering problems involves the computation of the electric field generated by a surface current distribution. In this paper, we show that the desired field can be calculated over a generic plane by using a matrix-free approach based on a spectral domain technique combined with an analytic continuation procedure.
