Abstract
With increasing popularity of the Internet and the spreading the personal computer rapidly, the demand technology that efficiently manages for organizing huge amounts of data is important. Moreover, Full-text search is widely used for various services of the Internet. An adaptive block management algorithm and speeding up text retrieval for efficient dynamic data management were proposed, but the retrieval speed was decreased when the amount of the location information was extremely large. This paper proposes a new speed-up technique for the text retrieval by using ID management. This technique creates a new combined location information of unites with new ID at high speed. This algorithm is applied for inverted file searching. The average retrieval time after speeding up algorithm using ID becomes from 3 to 23 times faster than old methods when retrieving keys. Moreover, the worst retrieval time after speeding up algorithm becomes 2 to 14 times faster than old methods.
