Abstract
The joint roughness coefficient (jK) is a key parameter evaluating the shear strength of a structural surface and the stability of engineering rock mass. In this paper, we present a new approach to determining roughness coefficient neutrosophic numbers (JRC-NNs) using the neutrosophic exponentially weighted moving average (NEWMA) in order to utilize the current and previous data information. The proposed method makes it more convenient to apply in simple and complex situations without fitting the functions. A new measure is called the neutrosophic coefficient of variation (NCV) based on NEWMA NNs. From the comparison, it is found that the proposed neutrosophic analysis is much better in reducing the range in neutrosophic standard deviation (NSD) and more consistent than the existing method.
