Abstract
Dehorning or disbudding is an old procedure performed on horned farm animals. Several methods have been commercially used for dehorning of small ruminants, but all of these methods show many disadvantages. In this study, a simple cheap device for disbudding is described. It is mainly composed of a 12
V car lighter and a car battery or an electric transducer. This device proved its sufficiency for horn disbudding in 15 young kids.
