Abstract

benzophenone enamine rearrangement methylammonium sulphite pyridinium salt recyclization
The rearrangement reaction of 1-alkyl-2-(benzoylmethyl)pyridinium iodides in the presence of various nucleophiles leads to 2-alkylaminobenzophenone derivatives . Best results were achieved with alkylammonium sulfites as recyclization reagents.
