Abstract
The modulated structures of In(InxM1-x)O-3(ZnO)(m) have been studied by HRTEM. Superspace groups of the modulated structure for In(In0.5Al0.5)O-3(ZnO)(13) and In(In0.5Fe0.5)O-3(ZnO)(13) are assigned as B-1(Bm) and P-(1 over bar)(<(P1)over bar>) respectively. It is shown that 1 are about 7.4 nm and 5.9 nm for the periodicities of the modulation waves In(In0.5Al0.5)O-3(ZnO)(13) and In(In0.5Fe0.5)O-3(ZnO)(13), respectively, where these values are located between those for In2O3(ZnO)(m) and InMO3(ZnO)(m). The electron diffraction patterns are well interpreted based on a superspace group description.
