Abstract
A simple transistorised time-to-amplitude converter is described along with the transistorized double coincidence unit. This is based on pulse overlap principle and specially suitable for positron lifetime measurements in non-metallic solids. It has a high time resolution (

nsec
using the upper 25% of the
60Co γ-energy spectra) and overall linearity of 20 nsec with logarithmic slope of 0.078 nsec. This converter may be adopted for work in other relevant fields besides positronium lifetime measurements.
