Abstract
Activity concentrations of some anthropogenic radionuclides ( Sr-90, Cs-137, Pu-238, Pu239+240 and Am-241) have been measured in the surface of marine sediments along the Saudi coast of the Arabian ( Persian) Gulf. The samples were collected at different locations and water depths. The spatial distribution of the concentrations of the measured radionuclides showed a heterogeneous pattern and is independent of location or water depth. The obtained results are discussed and some conclusions are drawn.
