Abstract
Airborne pollutant concentrations around a large industrial producer of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and sodium tripolyphosphate are determined. The plant, located in the northwest region of england, is found to produce an elevation in local sulfur dioxide and fluoride concentrations, and is a source of both condensed phosphate and orthophosphate emissions. Although pollutant concentrations are within human safety limits, the fluorides and/or phosphates may damage garden plants in the area. (1 map, numerous references, 6 tables)
